Role Description

Our company just enters the Spain market a short while ago and has a small team there (14FTE). We are looking for the first HR person who is in charge of the Spanish market and helps us expand successfully there.

HR Manager is the partner to the leadership, who understands and executes the organisation's people strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention and succession planning.

Major Tasks:

  • Ensure the company's HR strategy is in line with the overall business strategy and serve as business partner to the management and other functions
  • Support smooth expansion and transformation process of the company's culture, communication and daily business in Spanish market, including when opening and adding new local businesses to the structure
  • Work closely with managers to support, develop and implement processes for staff recruitment, performance management and development in line with the company's strategies and future capability requirements
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Maintain up to date knowlege of all relevant information, implementing new or changed policies and procedures to ensure the company meets local labour law requirements
  • Liaise with managers to ensure Human Resources best practices are undertaken company-wide ever improving employee relations, morale and dedication to work
  • Assist and support managers in relation with various people issues, like recruitment and selection, performance evaluation and conflict resolution
  • Be engaged with global HR team activities, serving as the company's business needs as it grows
  • Establish Talent Management and Succession planning programmes with close collaboration with Olympic Entertainment Group & Olybet
  • Establish training & development programs, provided according to the company business needs
  • Ensure that a proper, up-to-date, budgeted and strategy-oriented salary, compensation and benefit scheme is implemented

Must-haves: 

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related
  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience with a broad understanding of Human Resources management processes, including staffing/recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, training and development, change management, data management and analysis
  • Be able to position the Human Resources Manager role as a business partnership and the ability to push the organisation forward
  • Flexible, able to create things, lead change and execute transformation
  • Pro-active team player with strong drive and capacity to contribute to overall performance
  • High emotional intelligence, with great leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, result-driven and analytical
  • Strong hands-on management skills, ability to manage stress and ability to perform in dynamic and changing environment

Nice to haves:

  • Any other language in addition to Spanish and English is a bonus
  • Experience from an international company and ability to drive the change is relevant
