Brief profile of the position

What we’re offering is a chance to apply your business, communicative and functional skills as well as your proficiency in working with multiple stakeholders. As a systems engineer you are able to self-organize and deliver fast, in particular thanks to excellent analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. You are responsible for designing, building, monitoring, administering and operating systems to ensure a high level of availability and security. You will act as the driver of our cloud first strategy, which includes the administration of SaaS applications, with a multi-faceted approach (containerization, servers and database management, storage & backups, network engineering). You will collaborate with the architecture, development and the support teams to ensure efficient solutions lifecycle.
Core tasks
- Performs a variety of system engineering tasks around server, storage, backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations
- Operate SaaS applications and services (AWS, Kubernetes)
- Deploy, configure, manage, monitor and support applications and services in AWS
- Design and implement security and data protection options
- Manage projects to delivers IT services in accordance with established objectives
- Create and maintain documentation, from architecture diagram to detailed procedures
Key Requirements
Must haves:
- Demonstrable experience deploying enterprise workloads to AWS & Kubernetes
- Master of task automation
- Communicate clearly, regularly and effectively with business stakeholders and internal team members in both written and verbal form
- Fluent in english
Nice to have:
- Several years experience in Application support working in a globally distributed team
- Experience with Kubernetes, storage and backup solutions, good skills in server and database technologies (Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch)
