Brief profile of the position

Core tasks

• Focus - You actively develop new data-driven products outside of PwC's traditional business areas. With your comprehensive knowledge, you ensure the smooth processing of structured data. You develop the necessary components and benefit from your comprehensive knowledge in the area of data collection, data processing and data provision.
• Technologies - You decide which technology is the right one. You choose between databases, NoSQL solutions and streaming methods. You can assess when it makes sense to use COTS products.
• Teamwork - Our teams are cross-functional. You work hand in hand with the rest of the team, but also across team boundaries, for example to integrate analytics models into the product.
• Interface - You provide suitable APIs so that other components / teams can also access data and services without any problems.
  

Key Requirements

Must haves:

• You have a degree in computer science or comparable training and have around 5 years of professional experience in the IT environment, especially in the backend area
• You are no stranger to containers, cloud and continuous delivery
• You know software development and are fluent in Python and have already designed complex architectures
• You already have experience in dealing with data processing technologies such as Spark and Hadoop
• You are well versed in scalability, stateless and serverless approaches and can also implement them.
• Very good English skills

Nice to have:

• Work experience as a Data Scientist
• Experience with other programming languages like Java or C#
• Curiosity in new technologies such as AI and Machine Learning
• German is a big plus
